3 A.m. That is what time I got to bed this morning. Keep in mind 99% of the time I am in bed between 10 and 11 p.m. and struggle to make it up by 8 the next morning, I requite ALOT of sleep. But last night I made myself go to bed at that outrageous time and still made it up at 7:45 to be at church. "Why," you wonder, did I get to bed so late last night? Brian took me out for a Mother's Day Date and we had a great steak dinner and then found ourselves wondering what to do next. Can you imagine that . . . not knowing what to do? We ended up going to Best Buy and by 8:45 we were back in the car wondering what to do next. What a romantic life we lead. Finally after finding out Sam's closes at nine o'clock we saw a Border's Bookstore next door and went to check it out. It turned out the be the best part of the whole evening. I looked at Child Development books and Brian checked out the CD's. Towards the end of our visit we met back up and Brian talked me into trying some Chi Tea. I am not one to try new things for I act like I am ninety years old and refuse to accept a new order but I relented and gave it a try. It was Awesome! It was a mix of hot chocolate with a kick. We sat at our little table looking through new books, listening to a jazz band, sipping tea. So French Like! By the time we arrived home I was on a high and could not calm down for sleep. Time was going by so quickly and it felt like the middle of the afternoon. Forturnately Brian felt the same so there we were at 3 A.m. feeling like we were getting away like old times. We will see how I feel Monday morning because it always hits you the day after but it was fun while it lasted.
Happy Mother's Day to all you out there! Upon waking my two year old I said "Happy Mother's Day!" in my excited voice and he responded with "Happy Mother's Day . . . presents?" I guess he got confused with the Happy Christmas/Easter/Birthday feel and assumed this was another Happy Day that included presents for him, sorry kid, no such luck. He did make me some beautiful blue flowers out of constuction paper in Sunday School and I commented how good they smelled. He had to bust my bubble to inform me that they weren't real. What a party pooper! We had our usual feel good sermon for mothers and then off to Mazzio's to enjoy our pizza. Both kids took great naps which was a present itself for I was able to lay down too. Once we got back from Life Group it hit Brian it was Mother's Day and took Cooper to Wal-Mart to get me a card and some flowers. How Sweet!
Tomorrow starts my new diet for the fifth week in a row. I always have good intentions for the beginning of the week and then somehow by 8:30 Monday morning I am stuffing myself with pancakes! Oh well, tomorrow is another day!
