I just finished washing 90% of all my dishes in the whole entire kitchen, by hand. Our dish washer is broken. Last week I had taken the time to fill it just so everything I had would fit and I would not have to wait until a second load to get it all done. You know, because I don't want to wash any dishes by hand. I was proud of my organizing skills and money saving ability because it all fit into one nice large load. I started that thing up and I was off to be more productive. Fifteen minutes later I walked back into our tiny kitchen to find water covering our linoleum floor. Umm, I thought, I don't remember mopping. I then realize that the water was coming from the just loaded dishwasher. I immediately turned it off and looked at the mess before me. I grabbed all five towels that I brought with us and covered the floor. I didn't waste any time with this apartment living luxury and I called the office. Surprisingly no one answered, so I proceeded to press #3, the lady said if this was an emergency to dial the such number and this was an emergency!! I left my message and waited patiently for my return call.

No such call came all Saturday or Sunday. Livid by Monday I marched myself up to the office to report my incident. "So sorry to hear about it blah, blah, blah, we will get to it immediately."

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. I continue to pull dishes that I needed to survive and then rinsed and reused. The water at the bottom of the dishwasher is smelly and I only open that thing up when I need some new dish. I contemplate going and buying new dishes. I call and drop by all day Thursday with no luck ever getting ahold of anyone. Friday I am in touch with someone again and I get the speech that they will be right on it.

Here it is Sunday again and I have pulled all the dishes out of the dishwasher and the ones scattered along my two foot long cabinet. I have since washed the towels that I had used to mop up the dirty water with off the floor because the husband was complaining about the washcloths I told him to use. So I had the towels laid out on my newly mopped kitchen floor so I could place my clean hand washed dishes out to dry.

Tomorrow I will be waiting for the apartment people and they will regret messing with me. I hate apartment living.

In other news. We attended an outdoor wedding last night. I refused to dress up and wore flip flops. They should just be impressed that we were there, right? The wedding was to begin at 7:00 so we arrived at five after. We found our seats and proceeded to hand out Cheese Its and Gold Fish along with a bottle of water for each boy. I then sat back and waited for the festivities to begin. At 25 after seven o'clock the wedding finally started. The boys had just finished their snack and the water they had was all gone. They were ready to go. Late starts are a definite no-no in my book so the couple received the evil eye from me the entire ceremony. Luckily the boys could sense the tension and they were on their best behavior and since the couple wrote their own vows and the guy could feel the hole I was burning in his back, so his vows were two sentences long and it was over. Thank Goodness! We skipped the reception and headed out to a good restaurant to reward our successful night out with kids.

I can't believe August is going to begin this week. Where did the summer go? It looks to be a busy month for us. Brian found out at the last minute that he was picked up for a two week class that he has been trying to finish in Georgia so he will be gone for two weeks. My cousin is set to deliver her first baby and my youngest nephew turns ONE! I will be heading out ALONE to San Antonio to be a part of my good friend Ashley's wedding. Cooper will also be starting school this month and we have one more VBS to complete. I am tired already thinking about it all!

Sorry for the no pictures. USB cable is still at the parents house. I am to cheap to buy another when a good one awaits me. Hello, mom? Get the hint and come visit me for once:)
