Last night I was able to see what it could be like to have three boys. Gunner, one of Cooper's friend from church and the gym, came to spend a evening with us as his parents took in a much deserved date night.

Cooper and Gunner went to playing in his room upon his arrival and I think his parent's feelings were a little hurt because Gunner had no reserve about them leaving and they had to find him to say good bye. A couple of seconds after they left I heard the boys throwing something. Brian peeked around the corner and said they were fine so I let it go and the loud thumping noises stopped, so all was well.

Five minutes later Brian comes sniffing around our bedroom saying he smells something burning. I do smell something, but not sure what. Like bloodhounds we try to locate the strongest point of the smell. We step into the hall . . . the smell is strong, like plastic. I hit Cooper's room and the smell is overwelming. As soon as I turn to Brian he is pushing pass me, jumps to the bed onto the play table to the floor lamp. As I follow him I see the smoke coming from the lamp. I unplug the lap and Brian pulls out a half melted John Deere hot wheel car. Ah, the throwing I had heard earlier has an end.

The next twenty minutes are smooth sailing as the boys are playing well and Wyatt is enjoying time with both of us without having to compete with Cooper. Then Cooper comes running asking if we have a backyard.

Uh, no. But we have something better than a stinken' backyard.

"Come on kids, we are going to the best place in town." Lots of games, a big play center and pizza!

"YEAH!!" the unison of boys voices are heard. We are back on top as cool parents.

The rest of the evening was spent at the best place in town and this three boy stuff was a piece of cake. The boys liked playing the games even if they didn't have tokens to put in them. All the tokens were being used by us parents because we wanted to win as much tickets as possible. 450 tickets later we were off with an assortment of Tootsie Rolls, candy rings, bracelets and spiders plus three tired kids.

Off to bed with no complaints. Maybe three kids won't be so bad. Right?

I'm glad you identified yourself, or I would have thought that a bit creepy. Did you have fun at Granny's last weekend? When's school start? Are you changing schools? So MANY questions. . .
