Look, a roof! We have a roof! What is even better is that we also have all our windows in too. Bad news, our brick is not scheduled to be here until mid December. *tear* Our builder is still okay with this and said that most of it will still be completed on the inside with or without the brick. That makes me feel better. Cooper was almost hit by a car yesterday in the parking lot where we live. The boys had gotten use to running to the car from the house since we had a driveway. Another side effect of yucky apartment living.

Last Wednesday Cooper got to take his first school bus ride. His class went on a field trip to the zoo and Cooper was more excited about the bus ride than the actual zoo. I took Wyatt to the YMCA so I could have some one on one time with Cooper. It was quite exciting to see Cooper so happy about his bus ride and to be able to share in that moment with him. Out of the 25 kids in Cooper's class 22 of the parents showed up to go with us! Trying to lead all the kids around the zoo was comparable to herding cats. There we were just trying to move around that zoo trying to contained all our little creatures. It was quite an experience. I don't see how those PreK teachers do it, but God love them for it!

That Friday Cooper also had to bring snacks to share with his class and a show and tell item. I asked Cooper what he wanted to share with everyone and he happily said, "Bananas!!" Out of all the choices he had I was surprised but also glad because that was easy enough to put together. For his show and tell he took two of his favorite games to play. His teacher said he spoke today and even explained to the kids how to play his game and what he liked about it. This was a huge step for him and I was glad to hear he is slowly beginning to come out of his shell.

Brian stepped into the single parent role again this weekend as I had a women's retreat Friday night. It was a very uplifting time and a good chance to catch up with all my girlfriends. Our speaker was fantastic and even though I wanted to stay home and complained about it all week, I am glad I went. I need it.

Cooper is just like his Uncle John. He loved the bus and sat at the front so he could open and close the bus door. Of course he was in high school when he did this.
You guys house looks huge! I am so jealous, I can't wait till John and I can build. I am glad to hear Coop is coming out of his shell. Oh, I was kidding about John being in high school!

It is not uncommon for the brick to take that long to get there, so don't get discouraged. Hopefully the weather will cooperate when it finally arrives there in mid Dec. It shouldn't take very long if you have a good masonary. It looks beautiful!

I recognized that picture of you and Cooper. It was taken at my house! You didn't tell me about Cooper almost getting ran over. I'm thinking it might be more fun for just you and me to go Saturday and leave Joe at home. What do you think?

Amy, Don't try to cover for John. We all know it was high school. It's okay.
Jessica, The whole brick thing freaked me out. I am coming to terms with it though.
Mom, Yes! Joe can stay with the boys and we will go and enjoy Thomas the Train by ourselves:)
