School Starts Too Early

We haven't been up at 7:00 AM since I don't know when. I had meant to start adjusting to the school time a week before school was to begin, but I hadn't decided for sure Cooper would be going to public school until the day before it started. I am normally not an indecisive person, yet most people would say on this issue I am. I am giving another year to the idea and it is nice to know he will only be gone two and a half hours a day instead of the seven when he starts kindergarten.
He didn't fall asleep until 10:30 so I was anticipating a cranky morning. Much to my surprise he jumped right out of bed and went to getting his clothes on! After that he lost alot of his steam, but was still excited about going. Brian was able to go into work late and drive with us so that was nice.
The school was CROWDED with parents and Cooper's classroom was no exception. His teacher greeted us and put a nametag on him, then we went to find some friends from church. Two boys(Luke & Whit) and one girl(Sarah) go to church with us and were able to get in the same morning PreK program, this made things go alot smoother. There is also another little girl(Pressley) that lives across the street from us that is in his class too. He found his friends playing with the blocks and we said our good byes. I peeked back into his class to take one last picture, which he had no idea I did.
Wyatt was lost without his brother and wanted me as his full time playmate while he was gone. He was very excited when it was time to go and get Cooper. The daily report from Cooper was good. He loved the playground "I got to go down the fireman pole." He also said he made a new friend, but couldn't remember what his name was. It will be his mission tomorrow to find out that name. At the end of the conversation he said that he didn't follow all the rules. "Which rule didn't you follow?" "I couldn't quit talking when it was time to be quiet." He answered matter of fact. I didn't realize I had a chatterbox on my hands!
Everything seems to have started out on the right foot. Here is hoping for a great year

I can't believe they are already going to school! I think they had a great day, though. Time will tell. Luke told me later that he just wanted to stay home with Dad. I informed him Dad was works and he goes to school, so it wouldn't work out. :)

See! I told you he would be fine. You should always listen to your sister. Just think, what will you do when they are all in school?

My baby Cooper looks so grown up with his back pack. (the picture brings back memories of all my kids first day of school)He also looks like he has a tan on the back of his neck in the second picture when I blew it up. Proabably from playing outside all the time! (I always blow them up so I can really see the grandkids!) I also noticed how good your flower bed looks. It was mostly dirt (and wet dirt at that) when I was last there.

Jenny, it's good to see you in the blogosphere! I can't believe you, Pam and Jennifer have boys old enough for pre-k. Glad it was a great first day. :)
