Family

Twenty eight years ago today, when I was five years old, I gained another brother(Jody) and sister(Marla) and nine months later another sister(Amy). Before then I was the oldest and ruler of my universe to my younger brother(Jonathan). It was a huge change to my little world and I actually look back on the time with fond memories. Blended families can be hard and I am grateful to have entered mine when I was young. I liked having an older brother and sister who was totally too cool for us 'babies', but had no idea how much we watched them. It was a harder adjustment for them being teenagers and realizing the world can be a harsh place to live in.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Joe! Your devotion to one another is to be admired. You both faced so many trials during your marriage and with God's grace moved through them all! Did you ever think all five of us would move out so you could have the house to yourselves? HA! Too bad . . . we are bringing on the grandkids;~) I love you both very much and appreciate the spirit of family you try to instill in your children.

Are you free to babysit next weekend?
