Last night/morning I arrived home about 3 AM. It has been a LONG time since I was out on the town at that time of night. I was able to chat with a new friend(hi Amanda!)who let me tag along with her co-workers(nurses rock!)and talk about all things Twilight. We met for a late night dinner(Yum . . . Chili's)and then headed over to the theater THREE hours before the show was set to begin. When we arrived the auditorium was already three fourths full, but no matter where you sat it was a great view. Most everyone was rockin' their Twilight shirts and giddy with excitement about opening night.
The downfall of the evening was the uber excited movie worker who had his moment in the spotlight as he would come in about every thirty minutes with his LOUD microphone asking trivia questions and supposedly getting the crowd excited. At one point we endured a high school boy reciting poetry on the stage and I quote from one of those poems, "I miss you as much as a burned victim misses his skin" Yeah. The movie could not begin any quicker.
BEST part of the evening was when the lights finally dimmed and the movie began, except for the super creepy movie trailer that had me jumping out of my seat. The movie was awesome! Not as good as the book(are the movies ever as good as the books?)but the directors did a great job of casting the characters and giving a good vibe to the book. I've already made plans to see it again over Thanksgiving weekend with my mom and sister. And I plan on buying a Tshirt(go Team Edward!).
I contemplated erasing that last sentence, but it is true I am now a die hard Twilight fan;~)

Nice! I can't wait to see it! Hopefully I can drag Jerrod to see it with me over the weekend!
I am in the middle of the 3rd book all ready. I got the first one from Amanda on Sunday at church. I am officially addicted. I got online yesterday and looked up every youtube video I could find on the movie. I had Amanda C. call me after the 8:15 movie last night so I could hear all about it. I am making my friend Heather read it so we can go see it next week. I can't wait! I'm glad you thought it was good. Movies are never as good as the book, but the casting and acting can make up a lot.
I am NOT going to see this movie, no desire. You said we were going to go and see Four Christmases. Let's not have another fight over a movie, do we really need a repeat of Titanic?
So I just read all kinds of reviews and most people were very disappointed in the movie. So I'm glad to hear that you liked it so much. I still want to see it, but I guess I shouldn't expect a lot. Disappointing to say the least.
