Here is the second of only two pictures I took over the holidays. It is on Christmas morning at my Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary's house where we all met for breakfast. The younger of the grandkids had gotten Old Navy hoodies and we were trying to get a picture of everyone. It was near impossible.
I wasn't in the mood to sit behind the camera this year. I was in the middle of opening presents, taking new toys out of their boxes and overall interacting with everyone. I'm relying on my memory this year because I will not have any pictures to relive the moments. I am okay with that and feel like it was important to live in the now instead of the lens of my camera.
The Husband went back to work today and I decided to stay with my parents a little bit longer. I'm not ready to return to 'normal' and I am able to do that better here than my own house. I cannot sit still at my house wanting to organize and clean, so this gives me a break. Right this moment I am sitting on the love seat typing away, Cooper is playing checkers on the big blue chair, Wyatt is playing his Lightning McQueen on his Leapster and Abram is playing in the middle of the floor. Jerry Springer is on the TV, but I am to lazy to look for the remote to change it. Thankfully the volume is down low enough and no one is interested in looking at the television. My mom is at WalMart, my dad at work, and my sister/BIL/and nephew are out walking the neighborhood. I am soaking in the sweet moment for the next second the silence could immediately change. Today is my BIL 30th birthday so my sister is cooking dinner, which she loves to do, and I am able to eat without both cooking and cleaning up. *sigh* It is nice to 'get away.'
We haven't decided how long to stay(forever?-ha!)but I do know my brother's three kids are going to spend the weekend here so my brother and his wife can get away to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. I anticipate getting the 'are you going home?' look soon;)

Love it! I had planned to post one too. Of course Wilder is looking at Cooper, his new favorite cousin!
