Learning on the Go

Yesterday's cold and rainy forecast lead us to check out the Natural History museum and it was a great success! Abram stayed home with a babysitter so the boys and I could do some exploring!

Besides the workers, we were the only ones there! We were able to get alot of attention and fun facts in every room we visited.

There is a discovery room where kids can get hands on learning and we had our own teacher in the room that showed us many cool games and artifacts that usually are kept at the top of the shelves. We spend an hour and a half just in that room! The boys put together a skeleton puzzle

and we checked out some BIG spiders! There is much to offer at the museum and we plan to take another trip next week for some new classes they are holding for spring break.

Afterwards we had lunch together and still had time to visit the bookstore and score some new books! I cherish this age and all the questions they have about life in general. I'm surprised at what kind of things they can think up.
