Dear Wyatt

Today was the big birthday you have been counting down to all month . . . FIVE! You can now hold up all your fingers on one hand and this was a big deal to you. A couple of weeks ago I took you in for a haircut. You have been begging for months to get one and I procrastinated as long as I could. I loved your long hair as it had everything that I didn't, straight and thin. You have never cared how your hair looked until the past couple of months. Another reminder you are growing up and have your own opinions.

You were very proud of your new look and I can't believe how much older it made you seem! For some reason the cut gave you a new found confidence as you would strut around waiting for people to chime in about your hair.

Star Wars is the center of all your play time. You have all the men named and grow tired of me asking who is who or *gasp* call them by the wrong name. You will spend hours in your room playing different levels as your voice changes with whoever is in your hand. I love to see your imagination at work!

This is your first season to finally play soccer. You love the team you are on, Go Tigers! If I allowed it you would wear your uniform everyday.

Since Dad had his surgery he has been home with us. Today we celebrated your day all together. You were able to eat your breakfast in the TV room on the couch and watch cartoons while you ate(you choose bacon & yogurt to eat and to watch Tom & Jerry). We made a trip to Walmart so you could pick your cake out for your birthday party on Saturday(Star Wars)and to browse the toy aisle to write down things on your wish list. Lunch was your choice and randomly you came up with the idea of Furr's(because of the catfish and the all you can eat Gummy Bears & Skittles). The rest of the afternoon & evening was spent in front of the TV to play to your hearts content of Lego Star Wars. Game time is limited around here as you have a strict, mean mother, but today you were able to choose and the highlight was that Dad could play with you.

Happy Birthday my big five year old. I'm blessed to be a part of your life!

Where does the time go? He looks so cute with his short hair. We could totally arrange a double wedding if you are interested. (I'm all about saving money.) Wyatt and Becca, Abram and Rylan. Maddie is not quite a year older than Cooper, so maybe we can work that one too. :)
