My how they love their sandbox! Now we have all seen those fancy, smancy sandboxes at our favorite toy store for an outrageous price. How they are able to charge so much for something you put sand in and sit in the sun is beyond me but I was not going to get trapped into buying one even though I loved the thought of my boys playing in that lovely sandbox building a strong sibling relationship with one another. BAM!!!! Hello? A thought came to mind that I could buy a CHEAP swimming pool that was twice as big as those overpriced sandboxes and buy another swimming pool that was a size bigger that I could use not only for them to swim in but to cover the "sand pool" so no critters could leave presents for us . . . IF you know what I mean. How smart am I? I left Brian with the boys and off I went to get the materials necessary. TEN dollars later, minus the cost of the sand, here is what we have. They absolutely love this sand pool and as you can see both of them fit with still plenty of room. When we are not playing with it I cover it with the bigger sandbox and VOILA!

Now . . . I set this up on my front porch because it is covered so I thought it was the perfect spot. Oops, forgot about the "mosquito infested, I call it my flower garden" area right in front of the porch. All is well during the day but once the sun begins to set and we decide to go outside after dinner for some sand pool fun we are ATTACKED by the annoying mosquito and a million of his closest friends. It is awful and we are working on a permanet solution. I really don't want to move the sand pool, it's really the best spot . . .
