OU Fan Appreciation Day was held today at the practice field for the OU Football Team. We decided to go and see what the fuss was about and was it ever overwelming. I have never seen so many die hard football fans! EVERYONE was wearing the crimson and cream with swelled pride. Millions of footballs were circulating with each person showing off the signatures they had aquired that morning and how their hard work had paid off. What they will do with this "signature football" I will never understand. Brian said they will place it in a glass case to be admired by all men and women who enter the house. I was even told some people have collected these precious footballs for "a long time." I wonder what would happen if a fire broke out in the house? Would these people be able to move on? Inquiring minds need to know . . .
We ventured out for the last hour of the festivities and Cooper was pumped to see football players. I made a beeline for the Bob Stoops line and Brian waited in the mile long line as I rounded up the boys and tried to keep them occupied. We got pictures with the cheerleaders as we waited on the beloved Stoops until 45 minutes later our time had come to go in the gates. They had everyone waiting in "cow shoots" as I like to refer to them for they had to keep some control of the massive amount of people there. I mentioned to Cooper that I felt like a cow and the next thing I see is my oldest son on the grass eating grass?! "What are you doing?" I asked my young son. "MOOOO!" he replies back. Oh, pretending to be a cow I see. For the rest of the time whenI would not see Cooper in my side vision I would do a double take to find him, only to look down as he was pretending to be a cow again. Does this sound weird to anyone else?
He also had an unusual interest in his nose but only when we were about to take pictures. At no other time did I notice this obsession until I looked over the pictures today and notice he had his finger in his nose or around it. Don't know what is up with that, but okay. All Wyatt wanted to do is have his feet on the ground and walk anywhere he could. And he would have a pitiful, about to cry face if Cooper got anywhere near him, which is ALL the time. Wyatt knows that I am hard on Cooper and his behavior with Wyatt but I think Wyatt takes this to his advantage because he whines anytime Cooper comes around him and Cooper isn't even doing anything. If I wasn't watching I would think Cooper did something for Wyatt to whine/cry like that so I have to be on my toes. I think fun times of sibling fussing is right around the corner!
Ahh, the picture of me and Stoops. I look hideous after running after kids . . . outside, in the humidity, sweating, hot, just got back from the gym day. But I am smiling from ear to ear almost in a stalking kind of smile that Stoops body guard should be aware of. Cooper wasn't to sure of him and Wyatt couldn't stop staring at him. Brian just tried to take the picture as quickly as possible for there was a million people behind us and our child had been a cow most of the line up to him. The famous Stoops, it was a good day.
