Brian came home early from work and he did some things around the house and around dinner I perked up a little. Wyatt on the other hand, not so much. He sat on my lap on the back porch while I watched Brian & Cooper do some yard work and finally around 6:00 I went in to see what was on TV, you know just to see . . . it had been awhile and I was having withdrawals. Wyatt fell alseep on me so I changed him into his PJ's and laid him down and 9:30 the next morning he was awake and happy. No change in the schedule, still took a good afternoon nap and went to sleep last night with no problems!
Now Friday morning Cooper woke up with a temperature, runny eyes and complaints of a tummy ache. He spent most of the day like Wyatt and I on Thursday. I won't give you a run down of TV shows he watched because I am sure most of my readers are mothers so you already know what is on the Disney channel during the day, and that's what he watched. Yes, I did let him spend every waking moment of the day in front of the TV. Bad Mom! Hey! Did you read the last paragraph? Did you SEE how many things I watched on Thursday. He's the spitting image, I tell ya! Cooper drifted in and out of sleeping most of the day and Brian also took Friday off, to help with the sleepy kids. Cooper went to bed at 7:30 last night and both boys woke up at 9:00 this morning! Unbelievable. You may slap me now because I know you are jealous:)
The end of the week was crazy with whatever "sickness" the boys had. I am still baffled by it all and amazed at how much sleep was required with the sickness. It was a great time to just let the world go by and for all of us to hole up in the house. Can I thank God for the kids sickness? Yes, I think I will!
So Saturday, after our restful night we were up and ready for action! Since the boys slept so late today I decided to try and skip naps and put them to bed early to combat the "spring forward" of the clocks. Even though Cooper wasn't running a fever today he still had the "I am feeling a little bit better but quit #&@*# looking at me" syndrome so he wasn't the most pleasant child to be around, but we forced him out of the house to go to the Medieval Fair being held in town this weekend.
Oh My Goodness. We have lived here for five years now and I have never had the pleasure of attending the yearly event of the Medieval Fair. People, this is almost has good as any state fair. No Joke. I could sit on a bench and people watch all day. Sun up to Sun down, and never get tired. Brian had been before so he had some clue on what to expect but even he was overwhelmed with how big the whole event had gotten. Our boys eyes were like saucers and they clung to us like glue the entire afternoon. We stepped into a whole other land and they were not going to be separated from us for nothing. Thank goodness for cautious personalities.
Cooper had his first encounter with the port a potties. He about flipped a lid when Brian took him into the "bathroom."
"WHAT is that smell?"
"Poo and Pee"
"YUCK! They need to flush it! It stinks!." Holding nose.
"You can't, it all stays right there."
"WELL. . . I not going to sit down." "Let's hurry and get me outta here!"
"No problem."

Here are the boys enjoying their first elephant ride. I made B
