Did everyone take notice of my new picture to the right of your screen? That is to show off my new scarf, handmade by a very good friend of mine. I am out of the loop because it seems the new thing to do is to knit. My great grandma would be so pleased! We have a group at our church appropriately named the "stichin' sisters" and frankly whenever I hear the name, a small group of white haired ladies sitting in a circle with folding chairs chatting as the ball of yarn becomes increasing smaller, comes to mind. BUT! This group is mostly women my age who have fallen in love with all things knitted. I haven't jumped on the band wagon but I did mention to this friend how I would love a scarf. She said she would make me one and truth be told I thought she was just being nice and that she really wouldn't put in the time or effort. Three months went by.

A week after my birthday she came to church with a gift bag and handed it to me. I saw the most beautiful colorful pink scarf ever and tears welled up in my eyes. Mitzi had kept her word and had tried to complete it before my birthday. It meant the world to me that she remembered and took the time to find the colors she thought I would like and worked at making my scarf, and in my opinion a big undertaking, when she had only just begun to learn to knit. Thank you Mitzi! You made my year with that thoughtful gift. *tear*

Tuesday was "take Cooper to as many appointments as you can" day and we made it though with flying colors! I took Wyatt to MDO because I knew dragging two boys in and out of the car for over two errands was going to be more than my heart could handle so I thought he would enjoy some time to himself.

Cooper and I started out by going to his well child visit at the pediatrician. Cooper has been a very healthy kid and we had not been back to the doctor since his last well child check up at three, so he had no idea what was coming.

Waiting in the lobby was alot longer than I would have liked it to be and I could feel all the germs jumping on us. Once arriving in our little exam room Cooper was all smiles as the nurse asked him to name some black and white pictures and say "beep" when he heard the tiny noise in his ear. Happy to say, he passed both the hearing and seeing with flying colors! He was 37 lbs.(40%) and 39 1/2 inches tall(50%) and was the best looking four year old they had seen that day;) The doctor came in next and Cooper jumped up on the table ready for his next prodding. He sat tall and proud as she checked his heart, ears & eyes with all her tools. Then she had him lie down. You could see the perplexed look on his face as he turned to me for assurance and laid down as she felt his stomach. That wasn't a problem. It was when she wanted to check his boy bits he got a little anxious. He held onto himself for dear life that the doctor man-handed him to feel if everything was were it should be and that whole experience even brought him to tears. Poor guy! She was sympathetic and tried to leave on a good note but all was lost. Lastly the nurse came in to administer FOUR shots. Poor Cooper had no idea what was coming and was happily talking to her until the first needle hit and then the look of despair washed over him. I had to hold his hands down and thankfully the nurse was the fastest shot giver in all of the land. Once Cooper was able to get up, he was fine.

Next stop, the dentist. Cooper had went with me two weeks ago when I got my teeth cleaned so he knew what to expect and I really didn't worry about his visit. He was quite excited. He did ask if the dentist gave shots, I said no. I filled out a gazillion pieces of paperwork asking about his place of employment and all the diseases he had been exposed to in his four short years of life, but since he was the only child with me Cooper behaved excellent and played with the blocks they had in the lobby. FORTY FIVE minutes later we were called in and Cooper jumped with excitement. He crawled right on up in the big dentist chair and took it all like the big boy he is! They didn't really clean his teeth like they would for me, but they did look all around and poke and prodded at his teeth to check for cavities. NONE! Yeah, Cooper. As we were leaving he said that this trip was his favorite for the day!

We were able to eat lunch with Daddy at his work and Cooper was so tired from the morning errands he ASKED to take a nap when we got home and fell asleep within 5 seconds of laying him down. He woke in a great mood and then it was off to get Wyatt.

Our day of the many doctors, complete.
