Is It Over Yet?

I have finally clawed my way out of all the wrapping paper, junk food and endless questions of how long until Christmas was. I am glad to see the holiday season come along and even more so to see it all go. I have eaten more than my own body weight in food and have more toys to hide until we are out of the apartment.

The week leading up to Christmas was full of yucky sickness. Wyatt was battling an awful cold and most nights we were up with all the coughing & high fever. For four days in a row he had ran a fever of a 104 degrees and on Friday I finally broke down and took him to the doctor. I even debated the day of the appointment to take him in because he was acting fine and his fever had broke during the night and it had not come back. We had the car packed and ready for his 2:30 appointment so we could leave immediately afterwards to my parents house. The doctor did not have good news, for Wyatt had pneumonia! I felt terrible for waiting so long to take him in but with the medicine we are heading to a quick recovery.

Christmas morning was a hit! Santa went out 'all boy' with Cooper who got a military semi truck and Army tank complete with tough looking men who were ready for action. Cooper was in love the moment he laid eyes on his new toys and spent the rest of the day in action. Santa went the complete opposite with Wyatt with his new shopping cart and vacuum;) In Santa's defense Wyatt always showed interests in these toys when we were at other people's houses so he thought he would enjoy his own. Daddy was pleased to see him ignore it all and head for the Army tank the rest of the morning!

That afternoon the big hit of the day was a Fisher Price digital camera. Cooper took picture after picture and by the end of the evening he was good at getting the whole person in the shot. We had all five of my brothers and sisters at my parent's house along with the nine grandchildren ranging in age of 18 months to 15 years old. There was not a quiet spot in the house and I was battling my own cold so I had to pass on the annual WaHoo battle(thanks for stepping in Beth!).

Whew. I'm exhausted and Blogger is giving me a hard time of downloading anymore pictures. Merry Christmas!
