Sometime after midnight; Santa visits while the parents tiredly wait for his arrival to help put it all together and make sure the children are sound asleep
7:00 am Christmas morning; Yum . . . breakfast from the stockings
5:00 pm; Siblings and grandchildren all together(hard task to accomplish)for dinner and more present opening. Thank goodness for the nice weather outside!
For the past six years Brian and I have traveled to my parents for the Christmas festivities. I thought once the boys arrived we would stop traveling and stay at our house for Santa's visit. We never have thought twice about not coming down to Papa and Grandma's house. It is fun to get away for a couple of days and celebrating with all my family. The boys love waking up at Grandma's and being able to spend lots and lots of uninterrupted time with them. I can relax in knowing I can get away from cleaning and organizing my own house and having extra people to talk with and reconnect. The weather was perfect as the kids were able to be outside and get out loads of energy while the adults were able to sit together and have beginning and ending conversations. It was a very Merry Christmas indeed!
From the mouths of our boys:
Favorite part of Christmas: Cooper "Opening up presents." Wyatt "Waiting to open the presents."
Favorite present: Cooper "the garbage truck" Wyatt "my big jeep with the music"
