During the month of December our life groups do not meet and we are able to spend some much needed family time together. Last Sunday we decided to make the trip to Chickasha to see their light display. I've always wanted to go and have never made the time during the month of December with all the other activities going on.

We got there only five minutes after it opened which was perfect as the traffic wasn't bad. We found a parking spot at the front and bundled up in our jackets, scarves, mittens and hats. Thanks goodness for all the layering, it was COLD!

My favorite part was the bridge lit up with millions of lights and all the ducks following you along in the water hoping for a bit of anything. The boys loved all the displays of cars, Santas, trains, boats and lots of other things. They wanted us to take their picture in front of all of it.
We found some great hot chocolate which was the topping of the evening, but after one sip the boys wanted none of it. I guess they aren't into hot drinks, which meant more for me!
I loved hearing all the "ooohhhs" and "aaahhhs" from the boys as we walked around. I even admit some of those even came from me. It was a great family outing!
