My dearest still unborn baby boy:

Seriously, Is it really that comfortable inside my uterus? With all the rearranging you do in there with kicking my ribs, bladder and hip bones I am assuming you are just a little cramped. I promise you will be much more comfortable in my arms. You can stretch as much as you want with all the room in the world. In case you are unaware today is your due date. Also, you are my third child and studies show that with your third pregnancy, delivery occurs on the early side. Are you trying to set new records? I have been anticipating your arrival ever since your cousin Benjamin joined us. Let me tell you it has been a LONG three weeks. Every day I wait and wonder, "is this going to be the day?" Only to wake up the next morning to see myself still looking like a beached whale. I am hoping you are just going to be my most laid back baby of all and that is why you are taking you own sweet time to join us. Right? All the jumping and moving you do is just to get all your energy out before you arrive?

Your brothers will be great to you. They are very happy you are coming and we have practiced what it means to be gentle and to use soft words. Yes, that is them you hear screaming, crying and arguing with each other. Wait a minute . . . now you are overreacting it isn't like that ALL the time, they have their moments. You will have time to adjust and hold your own I am sure.

Your nursery is ready, all your family members are over their sicknesses, your baby book is as filled as it can be, the bags are packed, your clothes are in the closet, the diapers are neatly stacked, the bottles are washed and ready, the thank you cards have been written, the car seat is ready to install in the car, the pictures are hung, the pacifiers are washed and in their basket, the swing and bouncy seat are assembled complete with batteries, the baby monitor is hooked up with a great view of your crib, I'm as rested as I am going to get, the nightlight has a fresh bulb in it, I read again Dr. Dobson's book Bringing Up Boys and looked over my highlighted bible of newborns Babywise. Phew! I didn't realize how much we have prepared. But? Are you starting to get the idea here. IT IS TIME!

No . . .wait! I was not yelling. Just so you know I have set up an induction date and I am not afraid to use it. You have 10 days which is more than enough time for you to make the right decision to come on your own. If not, you have been warned.

Love to you my little one,
Your impatient mommy

I still have a dentist appointment Wednesday, (the 5th) and a hair appointment next Tuesday (11th) so maybe he is just waiting for Grandma to be ready. Isn't he such a considerate little boy!

Love you,
Mom

I just laughed out loud! That is hilarious! Did you pray for patience somewhere in the last few months? And you set the induction date for TEN days after his due date? Are you crazy? I would have convinced my doctor to do it one-two days after the due date. At least it will all be over soon for you. I have a wonderful 20 weeks left. And I will be going through the 100 degree temps of summer. So don't laugh when you see my huge ankles!

LOL!! I had my inductions BEFORE the due date. Can't wait to get your call. Just remember, it's so much easier for you while they are incubating - no screams in the middle of the night, night time feedings, etc., etc., BUT they are so precious to hold and they smell sooooo good!! Best of luck these next few days! Hugs from FLA
