It has officially been confirmed with lab work today that Cooper has the flu. He hasn't been himself for awhile and complained about an occasional headache and even ran a fever for a couple of days. It never occurred to me that it could be anything serious. Monday night at Coffee Talk I explained the symptoms Cooper was having and they suggested it could be the flu? What?! He was fine that night and the next day so I didn't even give it a second thought. Tuesday morning I was feeling fine, but by lunch time I was heading downhill fast as my head was pounding so hard tears ran down my face, I just wanted to close my eyes and lie down on the floor. Thankfully Brian had stayed home from work so I could participate in our local JBF sale so he took the boys for me as I passed out in the bed for the rest of the evening. Which brings us to today. Brian insisted on staying home and I decided to make a doctor's appointment for Cooper to rule everything out. I had waited to long for Cooper to get anything to speed the flu along, but at least we can get Wyatt on something if he begins to show any symptoms. As for me? I'm suffering. My doctor said she would call in a prescription for Tami Flu and I told her no. It is not worth risking the baby's health as the studies on that are inconclusive.
As impatient as I am for the baby to come now I am wanting him to wait until the induction date. We have got to get this family well! The boy's doctor was very nervous about me having a baby if anyone is still sick, which makes me freak out just a little more. Gah! This was the last thing we needed right now;~(

Thats no good. Mom and I feel bad that you live so far away. Not that I could be any help right now, but I do feel really sorry for you.
We just got the flu last Tuesday too! It started w/ Travis and went to me then Quin. Quin had it worst, by far. Just a warning, it will take days before you feel better! Good luck and keep that baby inside where it can be healthy!!!
Oh no! I'm so sorry. I'll pray for quick recoveries. I was hoping the baby would get to come on his own, maybe he still will.
I am praying for you right now that Danger stays in for as long as possible. I hope Wyatt and Brian don't get sick too!
I am praying for you guys. I hate being sick but it is always worse when you are sick and your kids are sick at the same time.
Girl, I totally understand. Everyone but the baby has had the flu this week at my house, even me. I'm praying that you all will get over it quick so you can have a peaceful delivery!
UGH! Get well soon! We'll be praying for quick healing so that baby can have a healthy start too. HUGS
