With a 'new' baby at home we decided it would be best to stay at home this year instead of traveling to my parents or going to another's house to celebrate.
The boys were able to light smoke bombs and Black Cats this year and Cooper was VERY excited. Wyatt was a bit more hesitant, which is a good thing. Wyatt would only light the blue smoke bombs and even then he wanted someone to guide his hand on where to light it. He was more of the observer this year.

We started with the boys fireworks around 4 pm(WAY too early)and Brian grilled out some yummy dinner for us. One of the Black Cat packages we bought were water resistant(?) so the boys had fun lighting those and throwing them into our plastic pool. Another grand idea, courtesy of their father, was to find old Hot Wheel cars and blow them up. It did make for alot of time filler as we waited for the sun to go down. This nervous mother decided it would be best to stay indoors with Abram.

Abram was asleep and peacefully dreaming around 8 pm and the sun was FINALLY going down. We moved our lawn chairs to the front and set off our 'big' firework fountains that the boys enjoyed watching. It was also fun shooting off the parachute ones and watching them search in the dark. We called it a night around ten o'clock as we were more than worn out of fireworks since beginning so very early in the evening.
Until next year!

I can't believe Cooper was lighting black cats! Don't let him tell Jacksen! I think we will wait a few years for that. I get nervous when he does the sparklers!
We took Wilder to see the big ones and he wasn't too interested. Oh well. Looks like you guys had fun.
