Swim Lessons, Session Two
I took Cooper myself tonight to swim lessons. Brian had to take care of rental property and I had Wyatt go with him so I could focus all my attention on Cooper. I never know how he will react so I didn't want to take any chances. Cooper hadn't had a nap today, which is never a good sign.
We arrived early so I could get a good seat and Cooper sat quietly on my lap taking in his enviornment. He pointed his teacher out when she walked in and I took that as a good step.
She invited them over to the water so I gave Cooper a choice of walking on his own or me holding his hand and going with him. He chose the second option. Once we reached his teacher she took over and guided him into the water. So far so good.
"Oooo. This water is cold."
Nodding my head in agreement. "You'll get use to it." Off I went to take my seat.
I see my son digging at his boy bits and I knew that couldn't be a good thing. We made eye contact and he just grinned, no teeth showing. Okay . . . definitly NOT a good sign.
"Cooper."
In his best whipser voice. "Mom, I peed." Laughing. "It's warm now!"
Me dying of embarrassment. When you gotta go, you gotta go.
