What a week! I have been glued to my computer and what a great place it has been to come for comfort. Thank you to everyone for your sweet comments, concerning emails and cyberspace hugs.
Sunday morning I was able to worship with my church family and what an uplifting experience in a dark mourning time it was. Singing Blessed Be Your Name brought a renewed meaning to my everyday life, but the most memorable moment was when we huddled with three other couples from our life group in the lobby of our church building and prayed. What an mountain top moment! Church family in action consoling each other in our tight circle, tears falling to the floor and praying to our God for comfort. That is what got me through the week. Later that afternoon Brian and I were talking about the morning and he made the comment of finally understanding what it mean to have a church family, it became real.
Melinda's funeral was Wednesday. A beautiful service that brought much peace. Please continue to pray for Mark and their sweet family.

We are joining our youth group for a Jump Start weekend. Nothing like hanging out with teenagers listening to Jeff Walling and the awesome voices of WaterShed to ignite the spirit for the new school year! We dropped the boys off with my brother Friday night then my parents are going to watch them Saturday. Here we have a kid free weekend to hang with teenagers, are we crazy or what?! And are they SURE we are old enough to be sponsors? HA!
Here's to a great weekend!

Jenny, it was good to see you last week at the funeral. Times like this do really make us appreciate each other in Christ.
I'm glad you went to Jump Start, how fun! And, I'm surprised you are old enough to be a sponsor. :)
Hi Jenny, wanted to tell you that I appreciated and was encouraged by your comments on my blog...wise coming from a mother with some experience under her belt. You're right, I think the phrase "pick your battles" is a good one to stick by in motherhood!
Love ya.
