"How was school today?"
"Fine. I got sent to timeout."
"WHAT FOR?"
"Well, supposedly you have to raise your hand before you talk BUT nobody told me that!"
I don't think I even know my child at this point. Before timeout would devastate him and yet here he was telling it like it was, not a hint of sadness or disappointment on his part. He seems to like going to school and even woke up this morning before me. I am still having a hard time adjusting to the time change.

Day Five on potty training and I can safely safe peeing is no problem. Other than day one there have been no accidents and I even keep him in underwear at nighttime. Sadly pooping is another issue. He tried many, many, MANY times to go with no success. I told him that if he did go poop in the potty he would get Gordon from Thomas the train that he has had his eye on for awhile. He was super excited and every time he sat down to poop he would explain his new prize of Gordon, yet no poop. All day.
This morning I go over the rules and rewards of Gordon and he says he will tell me. Later that morning he is playing his computer game and I am off packing for the weekend.
"Uh oh. Mom I pooped in my underwear." like it happen to fall in there or something.
"Aww man! Now you don't get your favorite Gordon." I take his hand and lead him to the bathroom admiring again how he poops in his underwear without peeing too.
"Oh well. Are you going to spank me?" he obviously knows that he didn't follow the rules and was willing to face the consequences.
No, I am not spanking over this. I realize it is all a learning process. Now if three months from now I might be getting desperate for anything to get his attention;) I have taken away his treasure chest for only peeing. He has to poop in order to visit that sugar goddess.
The joys of potty training!

We are off to visit my family this weekend. We will be celebrating my nephew Joel's 2nd birthday and my second cousin Wilder's first birthday. They were born on the same day one year apart. Cool, eh?
NEW: Check out my links at the right. I have added THREE new people that attend church with me that have FINALLY started a blog after they saw what a great time it can be. Pam & Michelle and even our minister Rusty! Check them out and see what I really have to put up with on a daily basis.
PRAYERS: Another new link at the right is for Melinda who for the last year has battled a courageous battle with breast cancer and was on the road to recovery. Three weeks ago she was rushed to the hospital initially for bleeding and upon further testing her liver was not functioning correctly. As of today she is still in ICU and the doctors cannot tell her why her liver is not working as it should or why her blood is not clotting. She has three kids at home 7, 4 and 1. Her family needs all the prayers we can send their way.

Tell Rusty to let us non bloggers make comments. I was reading his blog (I read almost everyone's blog you have on yours. That's how I get to your brother, sister, and cousin's blog!)My favorite verse about prayer is in chapter 5 of James....the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us...Can you imagine God comparing us to Elijah. And we aren't even righteous on our own.
Cooper is going to do good in school but I'm afraid he is too much like his grandma. I was looking at my report cards from elementary school and almost everytime and in every class I had she is sweet but talks too much. Can you imagine that? Poor Cooper.
Me again! I forgot to mention how good Wyatt's skin is looking again. I feel so sorry for him when it is broke out.
Thanks for mentioning Melinda. I think we might have a prayer service for her tonight at the church. 7:30. I know you will probably be gone by then, but you can join us in your car!
